National and Regional Officers -
The following persons served as officers within the National organization by virtue of their election to positions within the Mid-Atlantic Region.
William R. Eastmond -
Bill Eastmond was an officer and member of the Manasquan Little Blue Warriors, where he also served as a coach. He was elected Secretary of the JSPWFL in 1981, and served in that capacity until his death in 1994. Bill became a National officer in 1990 with his election as Region Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region.
In his own local community of Manasquan, Bill was an elected member of the Borough Council.
In his honor and to preserve his memory the Conference changed the name of its annual invitational bowl game to the William R. Eastmond/NJ Pop Warner Super Classic. Part of the proceeds from those games are then placed into a special scholarship fund, the William R. Eastmond Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to graduating high school seniors, past alumni of any JSPWFL Program.
David A. Marshall -
Dave Marshall served as an officer and member of Jackson Pop Warner for many years before coming to the JSPWFL Conference. At the Conference level, Dave served as Third Vice-President, and Football Commissioner before being elected Vice-Regional Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region in 1994. At the passing of Bill Eastmond, Dave became Mid-Atlantic Region Director, and has since been re-elected to serve a full term.
Carolyn Jannuzzi -
Carol Jannuzzi was a member of Jackson Pop Warner and served as head of the Jersey Shore Pop Warner Cheerleader’s Association until 1982, when that group was officially made part of the JSPWFL. Carol was elected as this Conference’s first Cheer Coordinator (Commissioner of Cheerleading). Carol served in that position until 1995 when she was elected the first ever Mid-Atlantic Region – Cheer Coordinator. |
